FAQs FOR TUTORS
1. Who can join as DeLite Tutors?
 

- Any tutors may join DeLite as a tutor.

  - However, our strict tutor selection process for each assignment indicates that signing up as a tutor does not necessary guarantee assignments allocation.
   
2. Why is NRIC needed for registration as a DeLite Tutor?
  - DeLite requires all tutors to provide their NRIC in the standard form (X0000000X) to uniquely identify all tutors.
  - Your NRIC will not be disclosed to the public.
   
3. How do I activate my DeLite Tutor account?
  - Upon submitting the online registration form, DeLite will send an email to you containing a randomly generated password for you to do a first time login to DeLite Tutor Hub.
  - You are strongly advised to change your password on first use.
   
4. Why do I not receive any email containing that password?
  - You may have entered an invalid email address.
  - You may be required to check your junk email/spam email folders as our emails are sent via server scripts which are sometimes blocked by some email service providers.
   
5. How do I receive assignments?
  - When an assignment is available, DeLite will send tutors a “New Available Assignment (NAA)” email.
  - If you find that you are suitable and interested in the assignment, follow the link in the NAA email to subsequently indicate your interest for the assignment.
  - DeLite will review your profile and contact you via your contact number if we find that you are suitable for the assignment and/or the assignment still being available.
   
6. I have indicated my interest for a DeLite assignment, but I have not received any calls following up to that. Why?
  - We apologise that only shortlisted tutor candidates for each assignment will be contacted.
  - Our coordination process usually takes 1-5 days to complete, depending on the response of parties involved.
  - We will typically send you an email informing of the outcome of each assignment, i.e. if you are successful in securing a new assignment.
   
7. What is the minimum length of time required for me to commit to an assignment?
  - As stated in DeLite's Terms and Conditions, the minimum term of commitment to an assignment is ONE (1) month.
  - However, should a tutor’s performance not meet the expectations of parents/tutees, the assignment can be terminated prematurely.
  - Please refer to DeLite's Terms and Conditions for more details.
   
8. What are the tuition rates for assignments?
  - DeLite does not fix the tuition rates for any assignments. Tutors have the absolute say in the rate they charge for each assignment, and this is negotiated during our assignment coordination period.
  - A tuition rate will only be confirmed if both parties (i.e. the tutor and parent/tutee) mutually agree to it.
   
9. Can I quit my assignment?
  - Our strict tutor selection process for each assignment ensures that tutors are mature and responsible, and not undertake any assignment if they do not feel confident.
  - However, there may be circumstances that prompt a termination of an assignment.
  - You may quit your assignment after the minimum term of commitment, and after seeking approval from the parent of the tutee.
  - Should you quit before the minimum term of commitment is fulfilled, please refer to DeLite’s Terms and Conditions for more details.
   
10. What is DeLite’s commission rendering policy?
  - As you receive assignments on DeLite's account, you are to render 50% of one month's tuition fees to DeLite at the end of the minimum term of engagement (typically one month).
  - DeLite typically provides a 2 week grace period after the end of the minimum term, i.e. commission is to be rendered before the 6th week of an assignment.
  - After a month of sessions, DeLite will send you an email containing relevant information in rendering the commission. Typically commission will be rendered via ATM Fund Transfer or Internet Banking Fund Transfer to DeLite’s bank account.
 

 
FAQs FOR PARENTS/TUTEES
1. How do I engage a DeLite Tutor?
  - You can make an online request via DeLite's website. Alternatively, you may send an email to us. We will typically follow up and contact you as soon as we receive your request.
   
2. What are the tuition rates for assignments?
  - DeLite does not fix the tuition rates for any assignments. Tutors have the absolute say in the rate they charge for each assignment, and this is negotiated during our assignment coordination period.
  - A tuition rate will only be confirmed if both parties (i.e. the tutor and parent/tutee) mutually agree to it.
   
3. Are there any admin fees, other than tuition rates payable?
  - We are pleased to inform you that you are not required to pay any admin fees to DeLite.
  - In addition, there is no need to worry about commission payable as this is the responsibility of the DeLite Tutor involved.
   
4. What can I do if I am not satisfied with the assigned DeLite Tutor?
  - We generally encourage parents/tutees to allow time for the DeLite Tutor to adapt and get into the correct frequency.
  - However, if things do not work out, you may feedback to us and we would seek to replace a tutor for you.
  - We seek your understanding that tutors and tutees have to click and work well together for a win-win situation.
   
5. How long does it take for a tutor request to be processed usually?
  - At DeLite, we understand that speed and quality of service are important to parents and tutees.
  - We seek to respond to your request as soon as we receive your request, which is usually within 1 working day.
  - Our aim is to comprehensively and meticulously select a suitable tutor for you within 3 days.
  - However, occasional delays may happen due to communication uncertainties; hence our typical process duration is 1 to 7 days.
   
6. What kind of tutors does DeLite have?
  - DeLite Student Help Community has tutors ranging from Undergraduate Tutors to Graduate/Full Time Tutors.
  - We have both local and foreign talents in our database of tutors having credible experience in the tuition framework.
  - Our meticulous selection process assures that we have the quality to answer to your child's education concerns.
 

 
FAQs FOR REFERRERS
1. Why referral?
  - Our referral scheme is a mode of answering to the public’s demand for tuition assignments.
  - Should you know of students who require tuition, given their consent, you may refer them to DeLite and be entitled to receiving Referral Remuneration on every successful match-make.
  - In cases of parents requesting for tutors for their kids, or tutees seeking tutors for themselves, the parties stated will not receive Referral Remuneration.
   
2. I am a tutor, so why referral?
  - You may know of a student who needs tuition, but you feel that you cannot commit to tutoring the student.
  - If you wish to recommend your friend(s) to teach the student, you need to spend time to coordinate, you get no remuneration from your friend. But at the same time, you are responsible for your friend’s performance.
  - If you refer the assignment to DeLite, you can be assured that we will find the best possible tutor for the student. In addition, you will receive Referral Remuneration by simply spending minimal time to submit to us the online referral form.
  - Therefore referral a win-win-win situation for the student, yourself, and DeLite.
   
3. How many referrals can I make?
  - You can make as many referrals as you have, on the condition that none of them are the same referral.
   
4. What will happen to me after I make a referral?
  - Our friendly coordinator will contact you within 1 working day to confirm the legitimacy of the assignment and to ascertain important details.
  - From that point forth, our coordinator will take over the assignment.
  - Once the match-make is successful, we will update you and let you know information pertaining to your Referral Remuneration.
   
5. How much is the Referral Remuneration and how will I be paid?
  - DeLite pays Referral Remuneration to our referrers on the condition that the referred assignment is successfully match-made.
  - The amount of Referral Remuneration to be paid is stated on our Referral page.
  - You will be informed via email with an official document containing all relevant information pertaining to the assignment, and relevant Referral Remuneration information.
  - Payment of Referral Remuneration will be made on the 2nd Wednesday after the commencement of the assignment.
  - We will require you to furnish us with your bank account number (we will send an official email to you) to facilitate in the local fund transfer.
