Who can join as DeLite Tutors? |
| |
Any tutors may join DeLite as a tutor.
|
| |
However, our strict tutor selection process for each assignment indicates that signing up as a tutor does not necessary guarantee assignments allocation. |
| |
|
| 2. |
Why is NRIC needed for registration as a DeLite Tutor? |
| |
DeLite requires all tutors to provide their NRIC in the standard form (X0000000X) to uniquely identify all tutors. |
| |
Your NRIC will not be disclosed to the public. |
| |
|
| 3. |
How do I activate my DeLite Tutor account? |
| |
Upon submitting the online registration form, DeLite will send an email to you containing a randomly generated password for you to do a first time login to DeLite Tutor Hub. |
| |
You are strongly advised to change your password on first use. |
| |
|
| 4. |
Why do I not receive any email containing that password? |
| |
You may have entered an invalid email address. |
| |
You may be required to check your junk email/spam email folders as our emails are sent via server scripts which are sometimes blocked by some email service providers. |
| |
|
| 5. |
How do I receive assignments? |
| |
When an assignment is available, DeLite will send tutors a “New Available Assignment (NAA)” email. |
| |
If you find that you are suitable and interested in the assignment, follow the link in the NAA email to subsequently indicate your interest for the assignment. |
| |
DeLite will review your profile and contact you via your contact number if we find that you are suitable for the assignment and/or the assignment still being available. |
| |
|
| 6. |
I have indicated my interest for a DeLite assignment, but I have not received any calls following up to that. Why? |
| |
We apologise that only shortlisted tutor candidates for each assignment will be contacted. |
| |
Our coordination process usually takes 1-5 days to complete, depending on the response of parties involved. |
| |
We will typically send you an email informing of the outcome of each assignment, i.e. if you are successful in securing a new assignment. |
| |
|
| 7. |
What is the minimum length of time required for me to commit to an assignment? |
| |
As stated in DeLite's Terms and Conditions, the minimum term of commitment to an assignment is ONE (1) month. |
| |
However, should a tutor’s performance not meet the expectations of parents/tutees, the assignment can be terminated prematurely. |
| |
Please refer to DeLite's Terms and Conditions for more details. |
| |
|
| 8. |
What are the tuition rates for assignments? |
| |
DeLite does not fix the tuition rates for any assignments. Tutors have the absolute say in the rate they charge for each assignment, and this is negotiated during our assignment coordination period. |
| |
A tuition rate will only be confirmed if both parties (i.e. the tutor and parent/tutee) mutually agree to it. |
| |
|
| 9. |
Can I quit my assignment? |
| |
Our strict tutor selection process for each assignment ensures that tutors are mature and responsible, and not undertake any assignment if they do not feel confident. |
| |
However, there may be circumstances that prompt a termination of an assignment. |
| |
You may quit your assignment after the minimum term of commitment, and after seeking approval from the parent of the tutee. |
| |
Should you quit before the minimum term of commitment is fulfilled, please refer to DeLite’s Terms and Conditions for more details. |
| |

What is DeLite’s commission rendering policy? |
| |
As you receive assignments on DeLite's account, you are to render 50% of one month's tuition fees to DeLite at the end of the minimum term of engagement (typically one month). |
| |
DeLite typically provides a 2 week grace period after the end of the minimum term, i.e. commission is to be rendered before the 6th week of an assignment. |
| |
After a month of sessions, DeLite will send you an email containing relevant information in rendering the commission. Typically commission will be rendered via ATM Fund Transfer or Internet Banking Fund Transfer to DeLite’s bank account. |
